DT/M Drop Tester consists of a package holding platen. An instant platen release lever mechanism is provided on the backside of the instrument. Means to move the platen up or down is provided through a turn handle or switch in case of electrically operated drop tester. A scale is provided on the column shaft to set the drop height. An additional lever clamp mechanism is provided to facilitate the holding of the package in various angles and drop at corners. The open design facilitates variable size and forms of package to be tested.
